Looking for easy dessert ideas? Here is a really simple and easy dessert idea for iced sugar cookies with sprinkles.
And this recipe is so easy that you only need 3 ingredients, sugar cookie dough, frosting, and sprinkles.
If you’re making these easy cookies for a special occasion you can use whatever color of sprinkles you want to fit the occasion. Red and pink for Valentine’s day, red and green for Christmas, pastel colors for Easter, or even red, white and blue for the Fourth of July.
And I use pre-made sugar cookie dough, but you could always make the cookie dough from scratch. I use vanilla frosting, but you could also use chocolate frosting, strawberry frosting or really any flavor of frosting.
These cookies are baked in a muffin pan to make perfectly sized and round cookies. I love baking cookies in a muffin pan, I just recently started to use a muffin pan for some of my cookies and I love it.

Ingredients
Here are the couple of ingredients you need to make these easy cookies.
- Sugar cookie dough ( I like to use the cookie dough that’s already cut into squares).
- Vanilla frosting
- Sprinkles (I used rainbow sprinkles, but you could use any color of sprinkles).
You will also need a muffin pan to bake the cookies in and spray oil to keep the cookies from sticking to the pan.
Instructions
Step 1: Following the baking instructions on the cookie dough preheat your oven.
Step 2: Spray the muffin pan with oil and place a piece of cookie dough in each muffin spot.
Step 3: Bake the cookies by following the baking instructions on the cookie dough.
Step 4: Leave the cookies in the muffin pan for a few minutes after baking before removing them, then take them out of the muffin pan and let them cool completely.
Step 5: Spread the frosting on the cooled cookie and dip the iced part in the sprinkles.
Step 6: Repeat until you have iced all the cookies and dipped them in the sprinkles.
Step 7: Now, it’s time to enjoy the sugar cookies.
That is all there is to making these easy iced sugar cookies with sprinkles. I love baking cookies in muffin pans, because you can get perfectly sized and round cookies. You just need to make sure you let the cookies sit in the muffin pan for a few minutes before you remove them, so they don’t crumb.
And I also have the printable recipe below, because I know a lot of people love to print out the recipes. I also like to print some of my recipes out, because sometimes I’ll make notes on the recipes, like if I added this or left out that.
