Hey y’all, welcome to my blog. I’m Kaitlyn and I love different kinds of needlework like cross stitch, tatting (both shuttle and needle), bead work, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and my favorites are sewing and quilting. I also enjoy all kinds of different crafts, usually I’ll see a new craft I haven’t done yet, than I’ll have to try it. 🙂 Not long ago I got a tambour hook and now I am trying to learn how to do tambour embroidery. I also love to buy all kind of different fabrics like jelly rolls, layer cakes, charm packs or just straight off the bolt. My favorite brands of fabric are Moda and Riley Blake, and I’ll probably add to that list after I try some different brands
Recently I’ve started making 18 inch doll clothes, I especially enjoy making the historical outfits, like this one.
I sell the doll clothes and other items Here on my Etsy shop
The pattern of the Edwardian era outfit pictured above is by Pemberley Threads and the link to the pattern is Here I love all her patterns they’re easy to follow and turn out beautifully.
I also enjoy baking anything sweet. And I love watching 50’s westerns and tv shows. I also like to look on Pinterest at retro and historical clothes, 1950’s and the Victorian era are two of my favorite clothing periods. Making the historical clothing for the 18 inch dolls is to me easier than making adult costumes because it takes less time and less money, so I can enjoy making the different eras clothing without spending a lot of money on supplies.
