I love puff pastry, it’s flaky and delicious and this easy recipe uses puff pastry. This is a really easy dinner recipe for cheeseburger pockets.
I say it’s a dinner recipe, but it would also be great for lunch. These pockets are delicious with the gooey cheese, seasoned ground beef and flaky puff pastry.
I used ground beef, but you could also use ground turkey. Or, you could also use any other type of meats for these cheesy pockets.

Substitutes
Like, I said above I use ground beef seasoned with garlic power, pepper and salt.
You could also use a different cheese. I use American sliced yellow cheese. But, you could use sliced white cheese, pepper jack cheese, or colby cheese.
Any type of cheese would taste great. And I love puff pastry for these pockets, because it’s so flaky. But, you could substitute croissant dough if you prefer.
Ingredients
To make these delicious cheeseburger pockets you only need a few ingredients.
- Ground beef (cooked).
- Sliced cheese ( I use American cheese).
- Puff pastry dough.
- Butter.
- Garlic powder.
Puff pastry dough is usually kept frozen and then you’ll take it out of the freezer about 30 minutes before you need it and let it thaw at room temperature.
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Cook the ground beef in a pan. And you can season the beef however you want, I like to season it with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Step 3: Cut the sheets of puff pastry into 4 squares each (with both sheets cut you’ll have a total of 8 squares).
Step 4: Place the cooked ground beef on the puff pastry squares.
Step 5: Cut a slice of cheese in half and place half of the cheese on top of the ham.
Step 6: Fold the puff pastry over the beef and cheese in a triangle and press the edges together with your fingertips. I also like to take a fork and go around the edges to make them look a little fancier.
Step 7: Melt the butter and add the garlic powder to it and drizzle the garlic butter over the puff pastry.
Step 8: Bake the cheeseburger pockets in the oven for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown. But, 20 minutes is usually enough time to bake them.
Step 9: Now, it’s time to enjoy.

Here is a delicious and easy recipe for cheeseburger pockets.
Ingredients
- - 1 pound of Ground Beef
- - 4 slices of Cheese
- - Puff Pastry
- - Salt, pepper and garlic powder to season the meat.
- Garlic Butter
- - 4 Tbsp Butter
- - 1 tsp Garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- Cook the ground beef in a pan and season it however you want.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet into 4 squares, you'll cut both the sheets into 4 squares each.
- Place a tbsp or so of the meat on the pastry square.
- Cut the slice of cheese in half and lay half of the cheese slice on top of the meat.
- Fold the pastry over the meat to make a triangle and press the edges close with your fingers.
- Melt the butter and add the garlic powder to it and drizzle the garlic butter over the puff pastry.
- Bake the pockets for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
