If you’re looking for an easy, no-bake holiday treat that’s perfect for parties, gift bags, or cozy movie nights, this Christmas Puppy Chow (also known as Holiday Muddy Buddies, or Reindeer Food) is the answer! It’s a classic snack mix made with Chex cereal, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar — dressed up in festive red and green for the holidays.
This colorful Christmas version adds red and green M&M’s for sweetness and crunch. You can make a big batch in just minutes, and it’s always a hit with kids and adults alike. It’s also a fun treat to make with the family — just be warned, it’s hard to stop snacking on it once you start! So, it won’t last long.
You can easily customize this Christmas Puppy Chow with what you have on hand! Use any type of chocolate you like — white, milk, or dark. If you don’t have Chex, Crispix or another crispy cereal works perfectly. For a fun twist, mix in peppermint candies, or colored chocolate chips instead of M&M’s and mini peanut butter cups.
